In late July we paused WhatsApp verification rather than let codes silently vanish. Today it's back — and it earned its way back.
- WhatsApp OTP re-enabled after the upstream messaging line was restored — and this time we verified delivery end-to-end against real handsets before flipping it on.
- SMS is now production-enabled worldwide as the always-available channel, so phone verification never depends on a single provider.
- Message templates for codes and document updates were rebuilt for clarity: you'll always know which code is the newest and what it's for.
A feature that fails silently gets turned off, publicly, until we can prove it works. We'd rather show you a paused channel than a broken one.
